Type 2 Diabetes Research Study
If you have Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus....
The University of Minnesota is conducting a study that compares two approaches to treating type 2 diabetes in patients who are overweight (moderately obese).  One treatment combines gastric bypass surgery and medical therapy; the other treatment involves medical therapy alone.  The cost of care will be covered by the study. 

You may qualify if you:
-Are between 35 and 60 years of age
-Have a BMI (Body Mass Index) between 30 and 35
-Are willing to commit to two (2) years of follow-up care
