Lupus and Sjogren's Clinic
Overview
The Lupus and Sjogren's Clinic at University of Minnesota Medical Center provides a multi-disciplinary team approach for evaluation and treatment of patients with autoimmune diseases. Coordinated specialties in treating Lupus may include nephrology, dermatology, cardiology, psychology, social work and pain management. Although Sjogren's and Lupus are relatively common autoimmune disorders, diagnosis is often delayed and community care tends to be fragmented making it difficult for patients who have complex multi-system disease to receive the timely care that is required to prevent complications. The clinic provides streamlined access and high quality care to patients with Lupus as well as any patient with Sicca (dry eyes and mouth) symptoms which are often a feature of autoimmune disorders.
