In 1984 Drs. Theodore Nagel and George Tagatz were the first physicians to perform in vitro fertilization (IVF) in Minnesota. Dr. Nagel pioneered the concept of providing IVF services for a fixed cost and refunding most of the fee if no successful pregnancy was achieved after three attempts. |
